We just got some great gift baskets from Becker Vineyards and Whittington’s Jerky for the silent auction. Dan Garrison has also sent some signed bottles of his Garrison Bros. Texas Bourbon and our friend Larry Pilmaier has picked out some special winery-only wines from the Woodbridge Winery and sent them to us. It might be time to make that winning bid on a gift for someone – or for yourself.

Pod On The Pedernales Chili Cookoff, turn in 1:00 PM
We feel proud of our pod cookoff awards this year and think you’d love to take one home. First place will be a silver chili pepper necklace made by a local artist. The other chili and show awards are custom pottery chili bowls. Hang around on Sunday and join us.

We’ve scheduled the Lonnie Lett Show for Friday evening following the Cooks’ Party and Scooter Pearce will entertain on Saturday night. Both are very entertaining. Come join us in our bar area and enjoy the music.
This is the week for last minute details. Shopping for supplies, getting the beer & wine license, providing information for radio and TV spots. The goodie bag gifts are here, all of the awards are here except for the brass longhorn which is being finished. We’re looking forward to seeing you all next week.
We hope you join us in Johnson City on April 6 for your chance to become the next Texas Men’s State Chili Champ. The winner will receive the bronze longhorn, silver belt buckle, commemorative jacket, Wendell Rankin stove, and a signed bottle of Garrison Bros. Texas Bourbon.
Representatives from Woodbridge by Robert Mondavi wines will be pouring samples for the public on Saturday afternoon.
